Hello and welcome to ‘On the REG’

Hello! I am thrilled to introduce you to my brand new personal blog: On the REG. My name is Nate Regina and I am excited for you to join me on this journey. I have had an interesting career path in Human Resources, staffing, as well as construction that I can’t wait to share with you. I’ve been through some tough times, but I have also accomplished some amazing things throughout my life. Through this blog, I want to provide career advice, retrospective insights, personal stories, and inspirational content to help others.

Firstly, let me provide a bit more background on my career path. I started in recruitment moving more into human resource generalist roles. While doing that, my passion for working with my hands, mixed with one fixer upper after another, I moved into residential construction and worked in that field for awhile before transitioning into commercial construction. This was a huge change for me and I had to learn a lot on the job. If you’re just starting out, I hope my experiences can help you make the same transition – successful. Commercial construction requires a different skill set than residential, and it can be challenging to learn new processes and techniques. But with my advice and guidance, you’ll be able to transition smoothly.

Secondly, I want to share my career advice with anyone looking to excel through any challenges. My experience has taught me that in order to be successful, you must always be learning and improving. As well as own defeat, be honest, and persevere. Also, how to be proactive in seeking out training and additional education to better equip yourself for the job. And while it may be daunting, never shy away from a new challenge. It’s through these challenges that we become better workers, and build up our knowledge base.

Next, let’s talk about some retrospective advice. There are many things I wish I had known earlier in my career that would have saved me time, energy, and frustration. For example, communication is paramount when working on a construction site. Not effectively communicating can lead to costly mistakes and delays. In addition, always double check your work, especially when it comes to measurements. It can save you and your team a lot of headaches down the line.

Finally, I want to take some time to share some random content about my life. I’ve been through a lot, and I want to share some of my experiences to potentially help others who may be going through tough times themselves. I’ll also be sharing stories about my family, hobbies, and interests. It’s important to remember that we are all human and we all have unique stories to share.

In short, I want to use this blog as a platform to inspire and help others in the construction industry. My experiences have taught me invaluable lessons that I believe can benefit others. Whether you are just starting your career, or a seasoned professional, I hope you can take something away from this blog. Thank you for reading and I look forward to sharing my journey with you!

Cheers,

Nate Regina
